One-liner: Both products sell the same fantasy made real — an AI teammate that lives in Slack, reads your channels, and executes work across your tools instead of just answering questions. But they price it opposite ways: Viktor charges one flat workspace fee and shares a single 40,000-credit pool across the whole team ($100/mo, no per-seat fee, no credit card to start, up to $100 in free credits); Lindy bills per active user starting at $29.99/mo for 3,000 credits, lets you buy bigger credit bundles, and charges $10 per 1,000 credits for top-ups. The billing philosophy is the story

The two vendors compete head-on — Viktor’s own compare section lists “Lindy Teammate,” and Lindy publishes a Viktor review on its blog — so the deciding factor for most teams is not the feature list but the meter.

Viktor thinks in workspaces. One Team plan covers the entire workspace regardless of headcount: 40,000 shared credits per month for everyone, unused credits roll over one month, top-ups on demand. Its FAQ is explicit: “Is there a per-seat charge? No. Viktor pricing is workspace-based.” The free tier is generous by design — up to $100 in credits that never expire and nothing locked behind the paywall.

Lindy thinks in seats. Every active user is billed, from $29.99/month for 3,000 credits each, and each user’s credits enter a shared team pool. That is cheaper to start (a solo user pays $29.99 vs Viktor’s $100), but scales linearly with headcount — five users is $149.95/month minimum before top-ups, versus Viktor’s flat $100.

The math flips at roughly two heavy users: a 5-person team on Lindy’s smallest bundle pays ~$150/month for 15,000 pooled credits, while Viktor charges $100/month for 40,000 shared credits. Who wins depends on utilization, not sticker price — a team that mostly asks quick questions may never burn 40,000 credits, and Lindy’s smaller packs may map onto actual usage better.

Which to pick

  • Pick Viktor if you want one AI worker for the whole team and hate per-seat math; your work spans code, ads, and internal apps (its capability areas explicitly include Code and Organization); or you want the Slack and Microsoft Teams surface with a bigger integration count (9,800+).
  • Pick Lindy if you are a solo operator or a small team that will use the AI occasionally — a $29.99 entry beats a $100 flat fee when utilization is low; you want to pick a different model per task or connect anything via MCP; or meeting capture, inbox drafting, and iMessage already describe your workflow.
  • Both caveats: neither vendor’s credit estimates are guarantees — a month of heavy “big builds” will drain either pool quickly. Viktor’s “no API” approach is novel but untested across long-tail tool changes; Lindy’s per-seat billing means growth adds a predictable but linear cost line.
