One-liner: Marqly is an AI bookmark manager — save links, articles, videos, highlights, and even ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini conversations into one library that auto-tags itself and can be searched by meaning instead of keywords. Version 6.0, launched on Product Hunt this week, adds the piece that matters for AI users: an MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor read your saved research directly. Numbers below were checked against marqly.com and Product Hunt on 2026-09-16.

This is an official-information entry: we haven’t migrated a real bookmark pile into it or run its MCP server against a Claude session, so there is no score.
Why the 6.0 MCP piece is the interesting part
Bookmark tools are a solved, boring category — save, tag, search. What changed in 6.0 is who gets to search. Most people’s read-later library is a graveyard: 2,000 saves, zero of them reachable from inside the tool they actually work in. An MCP server pointing at that library turns it into retrieval context — you ask Claude or Cursor a question, and the answer can cite the article you bookmarked four months ago and never reread. That’s a different job from “a better Pocket,” and it’s the same architectural bet Anysite made for live web data, applied to your private archive.
The AI Organizer softens the entry problem: instead of asking you to file your backlog, it reads the whole pile, proposes a board structure, and waits for approval before anything moves. Import covers the graveyards people actually have. The most common one isn’t Pocket or Raindrop — it’s the browser’s own bookmarks folder: years of Ctrl+D saves, nested folders nobody opens, duplicates from three browsers. That pile is exactly what Marqly’s standard bookmarks.html import is for (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari all export that format), and the importer auto-tags on the way in rather than recreating the folder graveyard. The honest catch: importing a few thousand stale links is a one-evening project, and retrieval only improves if you actually search the new library afterward.
Where to stay honest
- Every AI feature is paid. The Free tier is honest about it: 2,000 bookmarks, keyword search, and nothing smart. If you came for semantic search or the MCP bridge, you’re a Pro subscriber.
- $39 is a first-year hook. Renewal is $72/year. The “save 46%” badge applies to year one only.
- The Product Hunt rating is misleading in both directions. The 1.0/1-review shown on the product page is a 2023 complaint from before the extension existed; the newer 6.0 launch hasn’t accumulated reviews yet. AppSumo’s 4.5/5 rests on 4 reviews. All are directional at best.
- No Android app yet (web app works in the browser). Safari lacks AI chat capture, New Tab, and clipboard history.
- Feature spread across browsers is uneven — Clipboard History and the side panel are Chrome/Edge only; New Tab isn’t in Safari. Check the FAQ page for your browser before buying.
- Megamoon-made, promotional pricing churn. The vendor’s own review page quotes “≈$6/month, with a $39 first-year offer or $9/mo” — these launch offers move. The pricing page is the authority, on the day you read this.
Who it’s for
- Researchers and writers whose bookmark pile has outgrown keyword search and who work inside Claude/ChatGPT/Cursor enough for MCP to matter
- Pocket refugees — Pocket’s ownership changes made “import my backlog somewhere sane” a live question again, and Marqly imports its export format directly
- Heavy YouTube learners who want transcripts and summaries attached to saves rather than re-fetched
- Not for: anyone satisfied with browser-native bookmarks (this is for piles, not a handful of links), free-only users who want AI features, or teams — it’s a personal library tool
